School taster

Today was my third day attending my school, Colexio Salesiano San Juan Bosco, and so far it's been a fantastic, exciting and exhausting experience. Exhausting or in this case extremely immersive as Spanish is everywhere, with the kids mainly responding to English with Spanish. This makes the rare English emergence from their mouths feel twice as amazing.

Additionally, thus far the 3 teacher participants working in Saliesianos have been shown much support and kindness especially from our coordinator. I've gotten the chance to: observe many lessons, help in quite a few classes and completely teach one lesson so far and it's been exhilarating. This is aided by the fact that the kids are very endearing.

However a real perk to Salesiano is its proximity to the beach....making the siesta period become filled with extremely enjoyable pursuits.

This bonus is made extra extraordinary coupled with fact that temperatures are reaching highs of 23/24 degrees and the sun is always out. This prevalence of sun means that although we reach back at 'Residencia' at about 7:30, it doesn't feel so bad.

Finally in 2 out of the 3 days, I've had a ball at group activities and get-togethers which strengthens our bonds. Also, at the shared meals the group's camaraderie and support is forever felt.
